ASCEPT Student Prizes
To be eligibile for a Student Prize:-

The applicant must be a financial member of ASCEPT by August 31 of the year of the Annual Scientific Meeting where the work is to be presented.

The applicant should be an enrolled student (or registrar in training, where appropriate) in Australia or New Zealand.

The majority of the experimental work must have been carried out by the applicant.

Poster presentation will be required for all student prizes, except for the ASCEPT Oral Prize and the ANZCCART Prize. Thus, unless the candidate is an applicant for the ASCEPT Oral Prize, a poster presentation will be the required form of communication. (Note that an applicant for the ASCEPT Oral Prize may also apply for the ANZCCART Prize, but not for any other section/specialist prize.)

Candidates will be limited to applying for no more than three prizes; either the Percy or the Whelan prize plus a section/specialist prize plus the ANZCCART Prize (if applicable).

Applications for prizes must be made on the form included in the registration book

In addition to the number of copies required for regular abstract submission, candidates for prizes must submit seven copies of their abstract for each prize entered.

It should be noted that applicants for prizes will normally be short-listed on the basis of the abstract submitted. The presentations of applicants short-listed for the ASCEPT Oral Prize will be included in a single oral session. Applicants for the ASCEPT Oral Prize who are not short-listed will generally be allocated to a session elsewhere in the program, either as an oral or poster presentation. The Organising Committee of the Annual Scientific Meeting will determine the form of presentation according to the availability of oral sessions.
