Student Prizes Percy Prize. Open to higher degree students. Poster presentation.The Percy Prize was established in memory of Dr Neville Percy, who was one of the founding members of the steering committee that founded the society, now known as ASCEPT, in 1966/67. Whelan Prize. Open to honours students. Poster presentation.The Whelan Prize was established in memory of Professor RF Whelan, another of the co-founders of the Society. The prize is awarded annually to a BSc(Hons), BMedSci or equivalent honours student for a poster presentation ASCEPT Oral Prize. Open to higher degree students. Oral presentation. Tocris Neuropharmacology Prize. Open to higher degree and honours students. Poster presentation.The Neuropharmacology Award was established after a successful international meeting on dopamine pharmacology. It was renamed the Tocris Neuropharmacology Prize following sponsorship by TOCRIS Cookson Ltd. Toxicology Prize. Open to higher degree and honours students. Poster presentation.The Toxicology Prize is sponsored by the RMIT Key Centre for Toxicology ANZCCART Prize. Open to higher degree and honours students. Oral or poster presentation.The Australia and New Zealand Council for the Care of Animals in Research and Teaching (ANZCCART) Prize is awarded annually to a higher degree or honours student whose oral or poster best illustrates one or more of the following objectives of ANZCCART: (i) excellence in the care of animals in research and teaching, (ii) responsible scientific use of animals, and (iii) informed debate with the community regarding the use of animals in research and teaching. Entrants for this prize must submit an additional abstract (in the same format as the scientific abstract) which outlines how their work has addressed these objectives. Open to higher degree and honours students, and to registrars in an accredited training program and non-students who have worked for less than seven years full-time since completing their undergraduate degree for clinical research performed in humans. The Clinical Pharmacology Prize is awarded for clinical research performed in humans i.e. studies conducted on rats, organ baths, etc… will not be eligible. The Prize recognises the achievement of research workers in an early stage of their career. Peter Meffin Prize in Drug Metabolism, Delivery and Pharmacokinetics (Sponsored by Applied Biosystems). The prize is given to the best poster presentation in the field of Drug Metabolism, Delivery and Pharmacokinetics by a higher degree or Honours student at the Annual Scientific Meeting. HyperTox Clinical Toxicology Prize. Open to higher degree and honours students, and to registrars in an accredited training program and non-students who have worked for less than seven years full-time since completing their first undergraduate degree for research directly relevant to clinical toxicology.
