Membership
Membership is open to persons
who are actively engaged in or interested in the pharmacological and toxicological
sciences, and who have appropriate qualifications. ASCEPT is affiliated
to both the International Union of Pharmacology (IUPHAR) and the International
Union of Toxicology (IUTOX).
Please note a member of ASCEPT is defined as a person whose application for ASCEPT membership has been approved at an ASCEPT AGM and has paid all membership fees up to and including the current year. To be eligible for an ASCEPT Award, you must already be a member according to this definition. Applicants who have applied for membership, but whose membership has not yet been approved at an AGM, are not eligible for ASCEPT awards. If you are unsure of your ASCEPT membership status please contact Meetings First.
The only exception to this rule is for new student members. New student members must have submitted an application for membership and paid the membership fee to Meetings First by August of that year for consideration for prizes and/or travel grants to attend the ASM at the end of that calendar year
Applications for membership
Persons interested in joining ASCEPT should complete the Application

- Membership applications must be signed by a nominator who is a financial member of the Society.
- The annual membership fee must be forwarded with the application to the Secretariat.
- Membership applications are reviewed quarterly by the Membership Secretary and then presented to Council at each quarterly meeting. All applications approved by Council are to be presented to the AGM for approval.
- Student members wishing to become full members must submit also a membership application.

- To take advantage
of the lower registration fees available to members for the December
scientific meeting, applications for membership must be received by
the 30th September for submission to the October Council meeting.
Annual
renewals
All members will be requested to renew their membership by March 31 of
each year.
- Members may renew via the Secretariat Website (preferred). Online renewal includes options to send a cheque or fax credit card details.
- Forms may also be completed and posted to the Secretariat word doc or PDF.

All payments must be made in Australian dollars
- Full member:- Australia $110.00 (GST incl.) NZ & International $100.00
- Student member:- Australia $38.50 (GST incl.) NZ & International $35.00
- Retired
member:- Australia $55.00 (GST incl.) NZ & International $50.00
Student
membership
The concessional annual membership fee for students is for up to 3 years;
no joining fee is required.
