The National Committee for Biomedical Sciences (NCBMS) is a committee of the Council of the Australian Academy of Science.
The broad aims of the committee are to foster the biomedical sciences in Australia, to link the Academy to Australian biomedical scientists and relevant scientific societies and serve as a link between Australian and overseas scientists, primarily through the unions of the International Council for Science (ICSU): IUPS, IUPAB, IUMS, IUPHAR, IUTOX, IUBMB and IUIS.
